Good performance within same room as WAP – I purchased EAP650 to supplement an EAP660 in an area of the house where I wanted to improve wireless signal. When running some throughput tests, it performed well when device is within the same room as WAP. When testing from an adjacent room with one wall, throughput dropped by 50%. For comparison, my EAP660 was located on another floor and at the other end of my home and throughput would only drop by about 25%.

TP Link WiFi-6 AP New Form Factor and Mount Options – This is my fourth AP from TP Link that will be replacing one I’ve used for six years. Overall I’ve been happy with their features and relability of the product line. That said, TP Link’s first WiFi-6 AP is an eye sore; this one look’s much better. It’s 3″ less in diameter and almost half as thick. This AP lacks the 2.5 GB uplink of 1st gen but consumes less power (13.5W vs 21.5W).

Gets pretty hot and range is very directional – Works OK paired with 1 other 650 and a 615 wall, and software controller running in a VM. Omada simple stack seems to work pretty well for our 1900sq 2 story house with roughly 60 devices.

Great product at a very good price – This is for the AX3000. I bought it rather than add a third Unifi access point due to the price difference for similar Unifi devices. The AX3000 is providing between 700mbps and 800mbps to capable devices in the same room (typically new cell phones.) Good range, and the same professional features as the Unifi line (multiple VLANs on the same device with different SSIDs, power over ethernet, and even comes with a 12V adapter if you don’t have PoE. It can run stand-alone with or can beconfigured to work with Omada controller software on a device, a computer, or as an app on your phone.

Great product at a very good price – This is for the AX3000. I bought it rather than add a third Unifi access point due to the price difference for similar Unifi devices. The AX3000 is providing between 700mbps and 800mbps to capable devices in the same room (typically new cell phones.)
