Reliable option for extending your WiFi – Not sure what to expect with this item as the last WiFi extender I had was a total pain. It would drop off from my network every couple of days so I had to manually reconnect it. I’m happy to report this extender seems to work pretty flawlessly. All I had to do was just plug it in to an outlet and find it on my available Wifi networks on my phone. Due to the layout of my house I used this as a repeater to extend the signal to the back side of my house (house is approximately 1500 square feet). Internet speed tests went from 10Mbps at the farthest end of my house to 60Mbps which I am more than happy with. Not once has it disconnected or even slowed down while surfing the net. I am a little skeptical that it can provide coverage up to 2600 square but that might depend on your particular layout. Only other complaint is its a bit unsightly in my hallway and sticks far enough away from the wall to where I’m sure it will get bumped from time to time.

Why Spend Megabucks? – This extender is an EXCELLENT value. You can spend hundreds of dollars for an extender. I know, because I have done that. This one, at a really low price, is performing as well as any of the expansive ones that I have had. The signal is solid and stable. Streaming is every bit as good through the extender as it is directly from the router. It is virtually plug and play, or as close as you can get. Nothing complex about setting it up. The speed loss from the router to the extender is virtually unmeasurable. I cannot think of anything about this unit that cannot be complimented.

This router allows me to choose three modes: router, AP and repeater mode. The package came with a quick installation guide. The set-up became very easy once I figured out to use my phone and WPS button. I chose repeater mode and put this router on the first floor. My host router was installed in the basement. My home internet plan is 300/300mps. One of my rooms on the second floor always got very weak 5g signal. After I finished the set up, I did some testing in that room. Below is my testing result. Without the repeater router, I was able to get 28/17.9mbps/7ms latency for 2.4g and 136.5/92.6Mbps/6ms latency for 5g. With the repeater, I was able to get 93.9/65Mbps/9ms latency for 5g. You can see that the repeater has reduced my 5g wifi speed. However, I am still happy with this little router as it has solved the issue of having weaker 5g wifi signal for my second floor.
