No need to adjust it at all for the base use case.Bought this to increase connectivity in the farther reaches of my house. In my test I was able to increase wifi signal from 30% without the extender to 70% with.nksidhvrcbm

Setup was a breeze!… – This is supposed to be ‘s top of the line for wall plug mounted extenders. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. This is an excellent Extender. My router sits at the far right corner of my apartment and has to push the signal through multiple walls and a refrigerator to reach the back of the apartment. nksidhvrcbm

I needed more WiFi and I got it!… – I needed a Wifi connection in a guest house located about 300 feet from the main house. I must admit that I was real doubtful that this would work because I had tried a less expensive range extender with no success. This unit is a bigger unit and has external antennas that I thought might work better. When I placed the unit in the guest house and turned it on I got a full red circle indicating that it had captured the Wifi signal but that it was too week to be useful.nksidhvrcbm
