but this was a cheap and easily set up repeater… – o I have a dead spot in the basement of my house. There were multiple options to try and remedy this (including ethernet over powerline, a long cord, or a second router), but this was a cheap and easily set up repeater. Set up is very easy. Plugging it into the outlet turns it on and you can connect to the wifi SSID and then open your captive browser page to modify the settings. When you connect to your home network, it will then piggy back off your home router and broadcast a new SSID.I place this repeater at a spot I had 2-3 bars of wifi reception (on my phone). Now areas where I was not able to get reception, I’m getting 4 bars from the repeater (about 2-3 bars from the home router if you consider the chain). this easily extended my range about 30-40 ft including through multiple walls. This is great as I have a few devices that I wanted to use as headless servers int eh basement to keep them out of the way.I also like how this only uses a single outlet without blocking the second outlet (the plug can be rotated by pushing down on the tab). Ethernet is a nice addition, but being a repeater was the main purpose of this device.In terms of usage as a router. Here are the different scenarios for usage:1) Connect directly to the internet through the ethernet and function as a WAN for 5 devices.2) Be a repeater by connected to a wireless internet and rebroadcast the same SSID. This essentially extends the range of your original wireless network.3) Connect to the internet through wifi, but broadcast a separate SSID. This allows you to let people connect to your wireless network using a “guest” SSID and password without allowing them to connect to your actual router/modem.Please note that i was provided a review sample.nksirtfghbbvgr

Best affordable Range Extender 5*’s… – The WIFI RANGE EXTENDER is a must have for large homes!My house is about 3000+ square feet and there are many dead wifi spots to connect from downstairs, because my home network system is located upstairs.Got the product today, followed the steps (which I recommend using your smartphone to establish network connection between your router and the extender using the network assistant instructions given in the manual) and got it to work in about 10 minutes, Since for some reason the WPS method wasn’t working for me.Anyways the attached picture speaks for itself. Areas where I was getting one wifi bar, I got the full three. My wifi connection boosted from 1 Mbps to 20+Mbps.Now I can enjoy watching Netflix in the main living room without it having to buffer :)Don’t hesitate on this product if your needing a range extender!! 5 Stars thanks !!!nksirtfghbbvgr

Easy to set up and does what it says!… – I have been trying to extend wifi from one building to another one located up a steep slope of solid rock a couple of hundred feet away for a long time (In a rural mountain range) Bought this device and followed the easy to use instructions to sync with my router via WPS. Easy. Then I moved the device to the next building, first trying an outdoor outlet, then moving to an indoor outlet that faced the router downhill. Success! I got a green light and 3-4 bars of wifi connectivity on a Sony Blueray DVD/ streaming device (about 5 years old). Network connected to the EXT2G and used the same password from the router setup. I was streaming Netflix perfectly! And listening to Pandora as I walked from one building to another (even though I have absolutely no cell phone service at all), wifi connectivity to my Iphone was perfect.Could not have been easier to set up.I noticed the router signal went red during a rain storm so I just ran the setup again. No problem.I did try to connnect a 3rd building downhill from from my router but was not successful. This was about 600 ft and the router was not able to be moved to give a more direct signal.nksirtfghbbvgr
