Great way for the $$ – Easy install, works great, set it, forget it, connect with ease!

Simple to setup and use with a few annoyances – I wish it did a better job allowing clients to roam between APs and allowed access to some more advanced features. Aruba could provide more details about the settings.

Better options in price range – So I have multiple Ubiquiti Unifi sites setup with various different ap (lite, pro, and mesh m). I was very curious about these AP when they were brought up to me and I was able to get my hands on one for very cheap to test out. I did some speedtests and range tests and my Unifi AP AC Lite I compared it against out performed it across the board. Note that I tested on the same channels, same configs in width, same client… Everything. I have gigabit fiber internet. The ap ac lite would pull 360mbps down and 400mbps up. This one would do 250mbps down and 360mbps up. I get these aren’t intended for speed however they have a hard client limit at 50 which unifi does not have. The cloud controller is uncomfortable to use and I personally prefer hosting my own controller on a raspberry pi. I was also able to get stronger signals and better range from my unifi ap in the same location. Overall it’s decent from a reputable brand. However I prefer Unifi. Tp-link omada may be a better choice for a more simple user friendly deployment as they are $20 cheaper than these.

Very easy to manage and great performance – I’ve installed two of these APs in our RV, and like them so much I’m adding a 3rd one to provide coverage in the rear of the site. Unbelievably affordable at $65, and a snap to set up. The mesh network was up and running in under 5 minutes. The management interface is very useful; it’s got everything you need and really nothing that you don’t. It’s designed so that you don’t need to be a WiFi geek to get it to work, or to understand the performance data on the management screens

Better than In. – Aruba for the win. After being a long time integrator and user of ubiquiti access points I decided to try the Aruba instant on line. After mearly an hour of playing with the setup I was hooked. I have now deployed about 50 of them. The built in cloud controller is great. I will mention you can manage this locally through a web interface. I would put them on the same level as ubiquiti performance. Wish it had ubiquiti styling and mounting but the user interface more than makes up for it. Time for aruba to release PtP antennas.

Instant On isn’t so Instant – So I have an issue with the whole Aruba Instant-On ecosystem at this point. It doesn’t work as advertised as I purchased these in addition to an AP11D and the experience it promised fell short.

Big fan of these – chose this over Ubiquiti and happy I did – If you’re even just a little technically inclined these are great. I have a Pfsense router and wanted a AP solution to complement and support vlans. Had been eyeing a Ubiquiti setup and was ready to go in on the controller, hardware, etc. This is so much easier. Setup is a breeze and I can spin up new wireless networks in seconds. Real happy with this and will be expanding with 1 or 2 more.
