Good quality – It is a light weight and good quality adapter for my MAC pro and surface. Works very well with screen, keyboard and mouse. My last adapter will be extremely hot after using several hours, but this one won’t.

This thing worked great for a few weeks, and then started getting unreliable, then finally stopped working altogether. I contacted the manufacturer with all the information that would be needed for a warranty replacement, and they have not replied to me. It has been two weeks. Do not buy this product, it’s garbage and the manufacturer is too.

Power port pass-through not nearly as described – First thing I did when I got this USB hub was test my cables to see that the hub would appropriately allow me to charge my devices through it, it failed that test spectacularly. With both my Moto G7 phone (which has turbocharge) and my Galaxy Tab S6 (basic charge), both showed a dramatic decline in power from having the hub play intermediary; the tablet with a visible timer ticking down how much longer until it’s fully charged, went from 2+ hours when plugged in directly to almost double that with the hub. With my phone plugged in to the hub, it was actually losing charge, and from what? All there is on the hub itself is a power light, so I can’t imagine that was a massive drain.

With both my Moto G7 phone (which has turbocharge) and my Galaxy Tab S6 (basic charge), both showed a dramatic decline in power from having the hub play intermediary; the tablet with a visible timer ticking down how much longer until it’s fully charged, went from 2+ hours when plugged in directly to almost double that with the hub. With my phone plugged in to the hub, it was actually losing charge, and from what? All there is on the hub itself is a power light, so I can’t imagine that was a massive drain.

Great expansion hub! – This is the second usb-c hub i bought from Amazon. This one has a pass through for power, but the difference here is that it is placed on the short end. For me that is a great design detail, this allows me to plug my ac adapter into it without it blocking the usb and card slots. The metal housing has a nice premium feel, and the quality matches apple’s reputation. In comparison to other type c adapters, this one is a step up, due to improved port placement, and better heat dissipation. The added memory card reader slots is a plus that adds to the functionality of this hub. Great product for the price!
