So……. – This might sound funny to some of you but I want to be honest for the ones that do not know. First of all this modem is a beast and works great while running 3 4k TVs with Netflix and Amazon at the same time.

Over a 100% annual return on your money over renting – I first purchased a CM1200 with the mistaken impression that I could use the 4 Ethernet connections it has. That assumption was wrong. The 4 are are designed for a special router that is not even available so that you can have all 4 running in parallel just to the one router. I returned the CM1200 and purchased this refurbished CM1000 for half the price and it does everything I need. I am getting the full 250M/sec out of my 250M/sec service and saving $13 a month with Cox. Will pay for itself in 8 month. It is a better return than the stock market right now!

Fast – I purchased this renewed 3.1 modem from Amazon for $92 to replace my 3.0 Arris so I could save the $15-a-month rental charge through Astound (RCN). I chatted with Astound and gave them the MAC number and it was up and running in minutes. I was averaging 350 Mbps speed with the Arris but so far after a few days I’m averaging about 100 points more and often surpassing 500 Mbps. The technology is good. Hopefully the product is reliable and lasts a long time.

Good one gig high-speed cable modem – What I liked is that this was available renewed at an excellent price. I also like that it works quite well. What I don’t like is that in order to connect to it directly from your computer or other device by LAN ethernet cable, you have to unplug it and wait over 30 seconds and plug it back in and turn it on for it to switch over to allow you to use the LAN after disconnecting it from the router. In order to use the router again, you have to unplug it and so on all over again in order to reconnect the router. But it’s a great modem and it works well. I recommend it. Great price, so buy it.

This is amazing blast fast. – I am a comcast user and my plan is 200mb . Old modem is around 30mb speed. I am not sure what is the problem. So i want to change modem first. Then I bought it and installed without any trouble. Then I did the speed test. Boom. Amazing fast.

Solid option, even refurbished – Not sure exactly why it’s refurbished, apart from a scratch on one side, but this modem replaced a rented one from Cox that seemed to be dropping connections randomly but increasingly frequently. So far it’s been stable as expected. It responds very quickly to the browser for controlling its settings, when some modems and routers take a long time to update a page or log in. So, control is snappy, it locks more channels than the rented modem. As always, YMMV, but this is a good modem. Good refurbished price. Quite happy with it.

Fast and reliable – Upgraded from a CM600 to utilize better speeds with Xfinity. This must be activated with your internet service provider before it can be ready to use. I was not able to do the mobile app activation so I had to contact Xfinity via chat. They were quick to activate it and worked immediately. You can mount this if you remove the screw at the bottom that secures the stand. Keep in mind to give it good airflow if you decide to mount it.
