Set up was difficult due to English being a second language for the seller – Setup was difficult because directions were unclear and very sparce. No tech support available on-line at all.

Not as powerful as one is lead to believe – Product was not very hard to install and program but on of the steps was very confusing. The increase in both UL and DL speeds were not greatly increased in my case. DL went from 21 to 50 and UP for 14 to 21. With the computer directly attached to the router with an ethernet cable, results in speeds of UL 160-200 and DL 21-22 speed. So the unit did increase the UP load speed by 110 % it was not even close to the direct hook up while the DL did increase to the approximate speed that was available with a direct connection. The small increase in the DL was not impressive in my situation.

Just Not Sure – I ordered two of these items. They arrived very timely, no issue with shipping. However, it says easy setup. I don’t claim to be any form of techy, but surely I must have done something really wrong this particular day. I hooked up the device, but was unable to connect to my WiFi so I made the mistake of calling technical support before trying a few different things. Over an hour and 15 minutes and $145 later, I had my answer… I was apparently 5 feet too far from my router. Apparently you have to be within 15 feet from your router for this device to actually work, which, to some degree, seems to defeat the purpose. I have seen no difference in my WiFi. I’m sure it’s me and I will continue to work with the issue, but for me, I see no need in this device even though the price, I thought was very reasonable. Wait… I’m remembering an old saying now.. you get what you pay for. Sorry I cannot recommend this item or the so called support call which had to “get into my computer” and THEN told me I had to pay the $145. I thought Netgear was a very good product but this makes me doubt.

Over an hour and 15 minutes and $145 later, I had my answer… I was apparently 5 feet too far from my router. Apparently you have to be within 15 feet from your router for this device to actually work, which, to some degree, seems to defeat the purpose. I have seen no difference in my WiFi. I’m sure it’s me and I will continue to work with the issue, but for me, I see no need in this device even though the price, I thought was very reasonable.
