A solid upgrade over my Asus 1900P – I had an Asus 1900P that served me well over the last several years. I have been happy with Asus router firmware so I wanted to stick with Asus for my home router. I had to put some booster antennas on my old router to really try to fully cover the house (router on the 3rd floor of a house, and wanted coverage into my basement). This AX router has been a nice upgrade. Not sure if its due to stronger signal, an extra antenna, or the upgraded AX technology (or all of the above), but coverage has definitely improved across the house. I didn’t have any major issues before (thanks Asus!), but it seems like all the devices on the network map are reporting with stronger signal, and my cell phone seems snappier, even when in the basement. Especially for getting it for 110 as a refurbished model, I can say it was a worthy upgrade for a router that is used across several tenants in a multifamily house.

ASUS RT-AX3000 Superior alternative to Verizon routers for way less money – I only give 4 stars because there are many more powerful and feature rich options available, albeit for much higher prices. This is an excellent value, with enough features to keep you connected to high speed internet with little risk of technological obsolescence, and enough WIFI range to cover most 2,000 sq ft homes well.

Great product – I replaced a Netgear AC1750/R6700v3 with this ASUS AX3000 wireless router. I had been undergoing problems with access to the Netgear, could not see my wireless printer and constant power cycles to get it back on line.

Finally a Powerful Solution! – I’ve been struggling with getting a good signal in my home office. First I struggled with my laptop – so I wired it directly to an Ethernet cord. But my phone was still slow. I work from home and need a reliable and quick connection. I tried an older wifi router but the software wouldn’t connect.

Perfect Replacement for My Old Router – My old router has been running for 8-10 years. I kept up un the firmware revisions, but the hardware never get updated. So, with my change to a gigabit modem, I needed to get a gigabit capable router I ordered this ASUS WiFi 6 Router (RT-AX3000). I have between 60-70 network connections in my home and garages so I needed to have stronger WiFi and faster wired ports. This unit seemed the best for cost/performance/capability for me. I set up this router off line with a computer direct connect, then moved it over in place of the old unit. The WiFi connections logged into the new unit without an issue. After a few tweeks to the settings, the system was up and running well. The router has an app so you can connect via iPhone to keep an eye on it if needed. I have a 2,000 sq ft home plus garages and two remote WiFi access points. Very happy with this router.
